GRADUATION CEREMONY on 7th AUGUST 2015

We are pleased to announce that INTI International University will be holding its Graduation Ceremony on 7th AUGUST 2015.
(Venue:Multi-Purpose Hall, INTI International University)

The following are the graduation guidelines. It is imperative that all graduands read it carefully as it contains important information.
Lastly, we would like to extend our heartiest congratulations to all graduands.

CONFIRMATION OF ATTENDANCE FORM

Graduands who wish to attend the Convocation Ceremony, MUST complete the CONFIRMATION OF ATTENDANCE FORM (Appendix 1) and submit it to the respective Head of Programmes BEFORE 15th May 2015. Graduands will NOT BE ALLOWED to attend the ceremony if this form is not submitted by this dateline. Graduands who have confirmed attending the Convocation Ceremony but do not show up for the ceremony will have RM 100.00 deducted from the deposit paid to the University.

ADMISSION

ADMISSION FOR PARENTS/GUESTS


1.As the numbers of seats for guests are limited, admission into the Hall is strictly BY INVITATION ONLY. Please ensure your Parents/Guests have the invitation cards with them.

REMINDER: Pass ALL invitation cards to your parents/guests and remind them to bring the cards on that day.

2.Children below ten (10) years of age will NOT be allowed into the hall.

3.All guests may start to take their seats ONE HOUR before the ceremony starts. The doors to the Ceremony Hall will be opened by then.



INVITATION CARD

1.Each graduand will be allocated a maximum of two invitation cards for Parent/Guests to attend the graduation ceremony.

2.Graduands are to collect the invitation cards at the same time during the gown collection periods at the respective gown collection centres.

3.Please send an email to Ms. Chee, graduation@fotorex.com for extra invitation cards.

4.Extra invitation cards will be charged at RM25.00 per card. In addition to that, the allocation of extra seats is upon the discretion of the University.



PHOTOGRAPHS

1.Guests are not allowed to take photographs during the ceremony in the graduation hall.

2.Official photographers have been engaged for this ceremony. The following are price quotations for the photography package. The prices and packages offered are subject to change without prior notice.

CONVOCATION GOWNS

GRADUATION GOWN COLLECTION

1.Graduands (or your representative) will only be allowed to collect your graduation gown upon completion of an online government survey. You may complete the survey at http://graduat.moe.gov.my/ Please check the INTI website for the date when you can fill in the government survey. Upon completion of the survey, please print the completion of survey slip and bring it with you to the gown collection center.

2.Graduands must wear graduation gowns for the ceremony.

3.Graduands who are receiving a degree must wear a gown, mortarboard and hood.

4.Graduands must produce IDs for identification purpose during collection of the gown.

5.Graduands who are unable to collect the gown personally, MUST complete the authorization letter enclosed in APPENDIX 2.
Gowns will not be released if the authorization letter is not produced.

6.Please check that the gown, mortarboard and hood are in good condition before signing the acceptance form. Graduands are liable for any damages to the gown, mortarboard and /or hood (if any) upon return of them.

Graduands who do not return the gown, mortarboard and hood by 11th August 2015 will be charged a penalty of RM100.00 per day.



DRESS CODE

Graduands are to adhere strictly to the formal dress code


1.Male graduands must wear light / pastel coloured long-sleeved shirts ties, slacks and leather shoes. They are encouraged to wear coat but it is not compulsory. T-shirt, shorts, jeans, slippers, sunglasses, caps, sandals or any other improper attire are STRICTLY FORBIDDEN.

2.Female graduands are to dress modestly with skirts below knee length and wide collared light / pastel coloured blouses with buttons in front. This is to facilitate putting on the hood. Mini skirt, transparent top or dress, bareback blouse or dress, T-shirt, shorts, jeans, slippers, sunglasses, caps, sandals, or any other improper attire are STRICTLY FORBIDDEN.

3.IT IS COMPULSORY FOR FEMALE GRADUANDS TO WEAR COURT SHOES.

4.IT IS COMPULSORY FOR MALE GRADUANDS TO WEAR LEATHER SHOES.

5.THE UNIVERSITY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ENTRY TO ANY GRADUAND WHO IS NOT APPROPRIATELY DRESSED AND ALL FEES PAID WILL BE FORBIDDEN.

Graduation ceremony

1.raduands must first register upon arrival. Certificates will only be presented to those who have registered. Registration for INTI IU and will take place at the Sports Hall, Services Block (Refer to diagram attached and signages put up in the campus). It is advisable to have a snack / meal before registering.

2.Pass all your belongings e.g. bags, flowers, camera etc to your parents/guests after putting on the graduation gown. Graduands are to come with their gown, hood and mortarboard (where applicable). Graduands are not allowed to carry any handbags, plastic bags, flowers, etc. into the registration hall.

3.Admission into the Graduation Hall for parents and guests: Parents are advised to go directly to the MPH for the Graduation Ceremony. Admission into the hall is strictly by invitation only. Please ensure that your parents / guests have the invitation cards with them.

4.Upon registration, you will be given a name slip with your programme and registration number stated on it. Graduands MUST keep this name slip with you at ALL times. This slip shall be presented to the HOP/Presenter on stage during the ceremony.

Therefore, it is imperative that you must register to confirm your attendance.

5.Group photography will take place at the Sports Hall, Services Block/MPH. Graduands shall be grouped according to your programme.

6.The staff in the hall will arrange the group for the group photograph. This takes time, so please register early and give your full co-operation to the staff. The schedule for group photography is very tight; it is approximately 5 minutes per group. Any delay here would cause a delay to the Graduation Ceremony.

7.After the group photography, graduands shall be prepared for the procession. Graduands must now seat according to the registration number as stated in the name slip as graduands shall proceed into the Graduation Hall according to the numerical number given. Any error in the line up will result in graduands not getting their own certificates.



GRADUAND PROCESSION PROTOCOL


1.All graduands will be involved in the processional sequence of the Graduation Ceremony. They will enter the Hall ahead of the Academic Procession, led by student marshals.

2.For graduands who have been accorded the privilege of wearing the mortarboard, you must ensure that the tassel falls on the right side of the mortarboard. Please note that AFTER you have received your scroll and as you depart from the stage, flip the tassel to the left side of the mortarboard.

3.Graduands, once in position, are to remain standing while the Academic Procession enters the Hall and takes their respective positions. The cue to take your seat is when the Guest-of-Honour sits.

4.Graduands are to be seated as instructed and are not permitted to leave the graduation hall until the ceremony is over.
