Research and Development of School Management System

The Faculty is embarking on a research and development of an interactive School Management System to be deployed at selected Secondary Schools in Malaysia. The project will be divided into 3 phases. The first phase will involve a study into the current secondary school management and administration systems and to develop a design of a school management system that can cater to the needs of secondary schools in general. The second phase will involve the selection of a pilot school around the Nilai area for the development, testing and deployment of the designed system. The third phase involves the deployment of the system throughout a number of selected of secondary schools throughout Malaysia.
Timelines:
Phase 1 : commencement date April 2007
Phase 2 : commencement date June 2007
Phase 3 : after June 2008
Funding support from the University College is expected.

I.T. Innovative Solutions Centre

The Faculty is proposing the set-up of an I.T. Innovative Solutions Centre which           
will be made up of faculty members who would be able to provide services ranging from E-business strategy consultations, web solutions development to creative multimedia solutions for companies who are not able to make use of the current technologies on their own or do not have the necessary resources to embark on such projects on their own.
Our plan for year 2007 is to be able to secure and complete a minimum of 2 such          projects under this Centre.
Some funding support from the University College is anticipated.
